The Sentek Single Point Sensor comes to us from the Drill & Drop family of probes. Each sensor includes one moisture and one temperature sensor. A salinity sensor can be included and is specified by a separate part number. The sensor comes with two cable configurations, also specified by part number when ordering:
- Cable exits from side of sensor body. Used for shallow monitoring applications where cable need to stay flat on or under the soil surface.
- Cable exits from the top of the sensor. Used when the sensor is to be installed at depth and must be able to fit down a narrow hole. The sensor can be installed to the bottom of a hole drilled with a 120cm Drill & Drop auger (part 71000).
Applications include (but are not limited to) turf, nursery, greenhouse, planted rooftops, mushroom (and truffle!) production, satellite cross-calibration and leachate monitoring.
